Silver Grove Community College


Welcome to Silver Grove Community College where young adults can study close to home. We provide a residential facility that is accredited in the following majors:

The community college relies on practical training for future employment. There are not only state of the art classrooms but several practical laboratories in which to study and learn.

Each student must not only pay their tuition on time, pass with required minimum skill sets based on their degree but also participate in at least one extra curricular activity related to their chose major to graduate. The additional graduation requirements for each major are listed below:
  • Art - Make at least three paintings, sculptures, fabric creations or pieces of pottery for judging as you senior project and gain at least a silver mark on your chosen specification.

  • Biology - Gain at least a silver badge in either agriculture technology or aquaculture. Make at least three successful vaccines.

  • Drama - Organize and perform your own benefit. This may be a stage play, musical, or dance performance as long as you wrote the material yourself.

  • Economics - Write and give one speech on any apprenticeship of your choosing focusing on the economic viability of the career after completing the apprenticeship.

  • History - Participate in at least one archeological dig (you may choose to either participate in a local dig or one in an exotic locale for an addition $2000.) Write a paper on historical figure of your choice. Or participate in at least two archeological digs, at least one in an exotic location determined by your professor. (Additional $2,000 fee required.)

  • Physics - Participate in an applied physics workshop involving robot construction, toy dynamics or auto aerodynamics to at least a silver mark or chart 10 new stars and calculate the relative gravity on each other and the earth.

  • Psychology - Participate in at least one session with the polygraph machine to read how people lie. Write a paper on the observational psychology of your classmates or if the Asylum has any patients you may spend a semester in residence and write a paper on their psychology

Tuition and Fees:
$8,000 dollars is required for tuition, room and board during a traditional 4 year stay. This may be paid for in advance or the student may pay in installments.

There is the opportunity for work study programs to offset tuition fees such as working as a chef, barista, bartender, personal trainer, or DJ. In addition several of the majors offer specialized opportunities in culinary arts, auto repair, agriculture, archeological apprenticeships, art shows, and concert and theater student benefits.

Campus Life:

The Sciences Department: Catering to Biology, Physics, and Math we offer states of the art facilities. We have a medical laboratory to study the making of vaccines, proper surgery techniques and how to conduct experiments on various animals. Our astronomy lab is equipped with the high tech telescopes used by NASA to spot alien life. our mechanical laboratory allows students to delve into mechanics including robotics, toy dynamics and auto aerodynamics.

The Fine Arts Program:This program encompasses the Art and Drama disciplines. We offer acoustically engineered music rooms with a variety of acoustic and synth instruments , a ballet studio and an arts studio complete with draftsman table, professional camera and easels.
The Liberal Arts Program:Catering to the Literature, History, Economics, Political Science, Psychology and Philosophy majors we offer public speaking platforms, lecture halls, A psychology experimentation laboratory, and even a learning kitchen.
Dormitory:The dorms offer each student their own room complete with a double Murphy bed, a small desk with computer and chair and a dresser. students share a communal bathroom. There are currently space for 4 students at a time.
Dining hall:Adjacent to the learning kitchen students may sample regular and student prepared dishes in the dining hall. It's intimate nature allows students to get to know one another and enhances the college experience.
The Lounge:The dormitory is equipped with a full lounge area with gaming tables, piano, chess set, large screen TV, comfortable seating and an easel.
The Gym:We encourage every student to be healthy and as such have a small gym with an exercise bike, ballet bar, radio and punching bag. In addition there is an outdoor pool which can be used by anyone outside of swim meets and swim team practices.
The Campus Shop:Students have all their possible needs met with clothes, magazines, games and even cologne at the campus bookstore. Vending machines and a photo booth is also on premises.
Clubs and sports:In addition to our learning facilities we strive to encompass all of the student's needs. We have a basketball and swim team, golf club, and chess club.
