Journal - Leland Bishop - move in day

It was a bright and sunny morning when I moved in. The landlady, Roxie Rasmussen, seems capable enough and if I don't have to rake leaves or clean the main areas I'm good. I guess I'm here because of a tragic star struck romance gone bad. My high school sweetheart, she... well we were going to get married but she left me at the altar for my best friend. not my best memory there. So I took the next bus ticket for anywhere. Here's good as anywhere. Looks like a nice town to raise a family in, not that I have anyone to raise a family with. Maybe I can write that novel that's been burning in my brain.

I think we can stop running here. Looks like it could be a nice place. I hear they are building a community college. We need a place to rest. Raina had some real trouble with that foul husband of hers. Our parents don't get why she doesn't stay married, but no one should suffer through what he put her through. When she took him to court to sign the divorce papers he practically tried to kill her. Hopefully he'll never find her here.

I never got to go to college, but here no one has yet so I can get the same opportunities as everyone else. One day I want to run my own publishing house, can't do that in the city with no degree. We don't have much stuff so unpacking was a breeze. Raina's too busy checking the place out, complaining that there's nothing to do, only the village green is open now. She'll find a way to occupy herself, she finds pleasure in the littlest things. Maybe here she can be happy.

Tuon doesn't want to do an entry on move in day. He has to get everything just so. Meh. I don't care as long as I get a big fluffy bed. He's really getting on my last nerve. Every time I talked to a guy on the flight back from Tazuki, or was it Tamuki, whatever I forget, he called me names. Slut this, whore that.

He's just mad because he found out his parents weren't married and his mom had an affair with his dad and that why they put him up for adoption. Damaged his ginormous ego. Whatever, we scored the biggest apartment and I have my own room, and I can have as many men over as I want, and I can drink as much as I want without mom and dad telling me I'm ruining my life. It's like Tuon thinks he has to be my parent now, stupid brothers.

I signed all the paperwork and moved in today. I was early and found that my room wasn't correct. I had to leave for a awhile and pay for the door that was supposed to connect my bedroom and bathroom. When the Silver family remodeled the house to act as a boarding house they must have missed a few important details. I am most certainly not going to expose myself to the general public to use a communal bathroom. Ick.

Bit shaky after moving in. Not because of that, i'm sure. I'm going to kick this thing. A small town like this, bet there aren't any drugs at all. it will be good for me. and I'm already looking for a good business to run.
